Rotation and replacement of wheels. Antisliding chains


Scheme of rotation of wheels

1. Rotation can be carried out at emergence of signs of non-uniform wear of protectors. However remember that in case of successful rotation of all four wheels you eventually should replace all tires at the same time.

As carrying out this procedure demands a car raising over the earth and removals of wheels, check at the same time and operation of brake mechanisms.


Even if you are not going to make rotation, at least check reliability of an inhaling of bolts of fastening of wheels.

2. At faster wear of forward tires it is recommended to interchange the position lobbies and back tires. Thus, service life of all four tires is equalized.
3. Address to information in Poddomkrachivaniye's subsection and towage for the correct raising of the car and wheel change.
4. The car should be lifted the winch or to establish it on support that all four wheels were lifted over the earth. Make sure that the car is reliably fixed!
Remarks on security measures

Do not replace separately any tire. It is necessary to replace tires on one bridge completely. Tires with bigger depth of a protector are established on forward wheels. Lobbies and back wheels should have tires of the identical size and type, and at all-wheel drive cars also one manufacturer and one execution of a protector. The tires which have worked more than 6 years, it is necessary to apply only in case of failure, thus it is necessary to be careful when driving. At replacement and removal of tubeless tires it is necessary to change the gate surely.
5. In case of use of tires with a protector assuming movement only in the certain direction that is specified by an arrow on a lateral surface of the tire, the specified direction is necessary for observing. Only thus achievement of necessary road qualities of the car, namely hydroplaning, stability on the road, low noise level and low wear is provided. If the spare wheel owing to failure has to be established with an opposite direction of rotation, such application should be only temporary since achievement specified above road qualities of the car thus is impossible. It especially belongs to movement on the wet road. Therefore it is recommended to coordinate speed of movement with conditions of the road and to reinstall the tire according to the set direction of rotation.
Spare wheel
6. It is possible to establish a spare wheel both on a lobby, and on a back axis.
7. The spare wheel is intended only for short-term use and it is necessary to replace it with the usual as soon as possible.
8. After installation of a spare wheel pressure in its tire should make 4.2 bar.
9. With the established spare wheel it is impossible to exceed speed of 80 km/h. It is necessary to avoid the maximum acceleration of the car, intensive braking and sharp turns.
10. At installation of a spare wheel the road gleam under the corresponding axis decreases approximately by 30 mm.
11. It is not necessary to apply spare wheels from cars of other types.
12. It is not allowed to establish two or more spare wheels.
Replacement of wheels
13. Remove a decorative cap of a wheel. For this purpose use mount and a wire bracket from a tool kit. The wire bracket is established on an opening of a cap or on an edge. Pass mount through a bracket and, having pulled mount from a wheel, remove a cap.
14. On the car standing on the earth, tighten the hand brake and weaken bolts of fastening of a wheel.
15. Lift the relevant party of the car and fix on supports.
16. Unscrew the top bolt of fastening of a wheel and on its place screw an adjusting pin. Use of an adjusting pin facilitates installation of a spare wheel.


Disks from easy alloys are protected from corrosion by a transparent varnish. Be careful not to damage a varnish covering. At covering damage, cover a disk with a varnish coat.

17. For an exception of "prikipaniye" of disks of wheels to a nave, before wheel installation, apply a thin film greasings on the fillet of a nave aligning a disk of a wheel.
18. The zinced wheel bolts can be applied only on capital stamped disks.
19. Disks from easy alloys fasten only the chromeplated wheel bolts on which there is a conic rotating washer. This washer established under a head of a bolt, protects a disk surface at a tightening of bolts.
20. Before a vvinchivaniye do not grease a carving of bolts of fastening of a wheel.
21. Standard bolts of fastening of wheels have the M14 sizes x 1.5 x 27.5. Size of a turnkey head of 17 mm.
22. A tightening of bolts of fastening of a wheel make evenly in some stages in diagonal sequence.
23. Moment of a tightening of bolts of fastening of a wheel of 120 Nanometers.
Antisliding chains
24. Chains should be established only on forward wheels, as well all-wheel drive car.
25. Chains of antisliding can be established only on tires by dimension of 195/65 R 15. Installation of chains of antisliding on an emergency wheel for technical reasons is not allowed.
26. It is necessary to use only close-meshed chains acting no more than on 15 mm (including zamkovy links).
27. At installation of chains of antisliding it is necessary to remove full-size caps of wheels and decorative rings of disks. For safety reasons wheel bolts should be protected by special caps.
28. Before movement on free from snow it is necessary for site of a way to remove antisliding chains. They worsen road performance of the car, increase wear of tires and quickly collapse.
