Removal and installation of a ridge maple belt

GENERAL INFORMATION

Ridge maple the belt is wider, than usual maple the belt and has some longitudinal edges. Ridge maple the belt actuates the generator, the oil pump of the power steering, the fan of a radiator and depending on the equipment also the conditioner compressor.

REMOVAL

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. If the belt is established again, it is necessary to mark the direction of its rotation. For this purpose the felt-tip pen on a belt puts an arrow in the direction of its rotation. The engine, looking on the right side of the car, rotates to the right, that is clockwise.
	2. Weaken a belt tension. For this purpose turn the tension device a wrench in the arrow direction.
	3. In this situation insert the corresponding core (4.5 mm, length of 55 mm), for example, AUDI-3090 or a drill core. Thus, the device of a tension will be fixed.
4. Remove maple a belt.

INSTALLATION

PERFORMANCE ORDER


1. Put on maple a belt pulleys.
ATTENTION At installation of the belt which was in work watch the direction of its rotation. The engine, looking on the right side of the car, rotates to the right, that is in the direction of an hour hand. Belt installation in an opposite direction results in the increased wear of a belt.
	2. Press the tension device in the direction of an arrow and take out AUDI-3090 core. Then slowly release a natyazhitel, thus watch the correct provision of a belt on pulleys. The tension of a belt is established automatically.
3. Start the engine and visually check belt work.
