Check and adjustment of the beginning of injection of TNVD

GENERAL INFORMATION

The Audi firm demands to inspect the injection beginning on the working engine by means of an electronic tester. As specified device available can not be, adjustment on the stopped engine by means of a special core here is described. The specified way is not exact and can be applied only as a supportive application. For more exact check it is recommended to address on HUNDRED.

The beginning of injection of TNVD should be checked and be regulated surely after a tension, removal or replacement of a gear belt, and also weakening of bolts of fastening of TNVD or belt cogwheels.

CHECK

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Establish a cranked shaft in position VMT of the piston of the first cylinder, address to subsection Installation of the piston of the first cylinder in VMT.
2. Fix a camshaft by means of an adjusting ruler, address to subsection Installation of the piston of the first cylinder in VMT.
3. Now VW–3359 core should enter into an opening of a nave of a cogwheel and the holder of TNVD. Thus, situation TNVD is fixed. The core should enter so that the opening (an arrow on an accompanying illustration) stood at distance about 3 mm before a pump nave.

ATTENTION

Instead of a core of VW-3359 it is possible to use any core of 6 mm, for example, a drill.


4. If the core does not enter into TNVD opening in spite of the fact that marking of VMT and the provision of a camshaft coincide, it is necessary to check adjustment of the beginning of injection of fuel again.

5. Weaken bolts of fastening–1–cogwheels of TNVD so that the wheel of a gear belt could turn concerning a pump nave.

ATTENTION

The central bolt of fastening on a nave of the pump it is not necessary to turn on, the pump otherwise will be displaced. After that to adjust it in house conditions it will not be possible.


6. Turn TNVD nave so that the core entered.

The core should enter so that the opening (an arrow on an illustration) stood at distance about 3 mm before a pump nave.

8. Take out a core.
9. Remove an adjusting ruler.
10. Turn a cranked shaft on 2 turns in the direction of rotation of the engine and again establish in position VMT of the piston of the first cylinder. Check the provision of markings on a flywheel and distributive to a shaft.
11. Fix TNVD cogwheel a core. If the core does not enter into TNVD opening, repeat adjustment process.
12. Take out a core.
13. Establish laying of a cover of a head of cylinders. Fix a cover, the moment of an inhaling of 10 N of m.
14. Establish the top cover of a gear belt.
15. Insert into an opening of a casing of coupling a plastic stopper.

ATTENTION

In summary check in dynamics the beginning of injection of TNVD (work HUNDRED).

After exact adjustment of the moment of the beginning of injection it is necessary to tighten 3 bolts of fastening of a cogwheel of TNVD the moment of 20 NN • m and then to tighten on 90 ° (1/4 turns). If bolts were tightened in the specified way, after an otvorachivaniye it is necessary to replace them with the new.
