Safety locks
GENERAL INFORMATION

Protection of electric contours of the car is provided with application of a combination of safety locks, breakers of a chain and fusible inserts. The burned-down safety lock is easy for distinguishing from serviceable by survey of its transparent plastic case.

Attentively examine a safety lock about identification of its peregoraniye. If the safety lock outwardly looks normally, but suspicions on its malfunction remained, make conductivity check between the knife plugs acting from its case.

REPLACEMENT

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Before safety lock replacement surely switch off the corresponding consumer and ignition.
2. Safety locks are in the block of safety locks from the left face side of the dashboard behind a cover.
3. Open a cover for what insert a screw-driver with a flat working part from below into a gap (the shooter on an illustration) and wring out a cover.
4. The plan of placement of safety locks is on inside of a cover of the block of safety locks.
5. Additional safety locks are on the relay panel, and also on the additional carrier of the relay behind the panel of the relay and in the holder of the storage battery.
6. At cars with the diesel engine the safety lock for preliminary heating is in a box of safety locks on the storage battery.
7. A sign of the burned-down safety lock is the melted metal strip.
8. Remove from the interior of a cover plastic clips and take out the failed safety lock.
9. Insert a new safety lock on the same current. The nominal current of a safety lock is specified on a reverse side of the handle. Besides, the handle of a safety lock has color marking by which it is also possible to determine a nominal current.
10. Again establish into place a cover of the block of safety locks.
11. If after a while the new safety lock again fuses, it is necessary to check the corresponding electric chain.
12. At all do not replace a safety lock with a wire or a similar material as it can lead to serious damages of electric equipment.
13. It is recommended to have always in the car spare safety locks.
